Relationship & Communication Support
(individual therapy)

Relationships can bring up some of our deepest needs, fears, patterns, and protective strategies. Whether you are navigating a romantic partnership, friendships, family dynamics, or workplace relationships, therapy can help you better understand your role in relational patterns and build more grounded, honest, and sustainable ways of connecting.

While I have previous offered couples therapy, my work in this area focuses primarily on individual therapy for relationship and communication support. This can be especially helpful if you are currently in couples therapy and want a separate space to reflect on your side of the dynamic, practice new skills, process what is coming up for you, and clarify what you need moving forward.

Our work is not about blaming you or making you solely responsible for the relationship. Instead, we focus on the parts that are within your control: understanding your nervous system, recognizing protective patterns, communicating needs more clearly, setting boundaries, tolerating conflict, and staying connected to yourself while relating to others.

Many people come to this work wanting to feel less reactive, less avoidant, less resentful, or less overwhelmed in relationships. Together, we can explore the beliefs, attachment patterns, past experiences, and emotional responses that shape how you connect — while building practical skills for healthier communication and more secure relationships.

In our work together, we may explore:

  • Understanding your relationship patterns and emotional triggers

  • Communicating needs, boundaries, and feelings more clearly

  • Navigating conflict without shutting down, escalating, or people-pleasing

  • Building self-trust and staying connected to yourself in relationships

  • Processing what comes up in couples therapy and applying it to your everyday life

  • Identifying attachment wounds, protective strategies, or old relational roles

  • Practicing repair, accountability, and emotional honesty

  • Strengthening healthy relationship skills in romantic, family, friendship, or work relationships

  • Clarifying what you want, need, and are responsible for — and what you are not

  • Creating more sustainable, mutual, and authentic connections
